Within activity organized by Green initiative and Green list of Serbia, over 750 citizens and schoolchildren collected more than 2 tons of waste paper, PET, cans  and EE waste, within Get Planet Wise! Recycle local activity in Gornji Milanovac, which was later shipped to recycling facilities.

 Association “GM Optimist” from Gornji Milanovac, a member of the Green List of Serbia, organized the above mentioned activity with citizens and schoolchildren.

At the city park in Gornji Milanovac citizens were bringing old paper, the used plastic bottles, cans, used batteries, electronic and electrical waste. The y collected approximately 2 tons of recyclables, which was in shipped to recycling facilities in cooperation with companies Mizzoni papir (for waste paper), Saniplast  (for PET) and ReCan (for cans).

The youngest visitors participated in recycling and environmental games and workshops. Also, dance club Bamboleo supported this activity with a dance performance. During the evening, a large number of young people attended the concert performed by groups  Deca losih muzicara form Belgrade Morbid cow and Plisani malisan from Gornji Milanovac.

By implementing activities oriented towards collecting recycling materials, through the campaign Get Planet Wise! Recycle, Green List of Serbia and Green Initiative is aiming to increase the participation of citizens, recycling businesses and local institutions in collecting recyclable materials.
