At this year International Fair of Environmental protection, held at Belgrade Fair (October 10-12) Green initiative promoted results achieved so far and primary selection of waste among citizens offering them means and mechanisms for recycling waste.

Visitors were able to see a video presentation of Green initiative activities related to stimulation of primary selection of waste and collecting recyclable materials, legalization of work of individual collectors and research that will contribute to the implementation of local waste management plans.

Immpresive photographs showed citizens of all ages and schoolschildren from 14 cities in Serbia participationg in collecting recyclable materials, environmental performances, eco bicyclists sending environmental messages in 6 cities within environmenal bicycling caravan, panel discusions and presentations of research on implementation of local waste management plans, etc. Video clip with swimmer Milorad Cavic promoting Competition Online Recycling from Febryary and recently showed promotional video of „Pazi djubre“ campaign were also included in a presentation.

In addition, Recycling Address Book, which has more than 500 locations of recycling islands, was presented to fair visitors, with the possibility that they themselves add locations of recycling islands to Green initiative website. This way nearly 10 new location were added and information from representatives of Uzice and Nova Varos were received on locations in their towns that will be added to Recycling book as well.

All visitors of Green initiative stand received bags for waste separation (in total 2,000 bags were delivered) and shirts marked with logo of the environmental campaign “Pazi djubre!”

Group of students from Technical High School Uros Predic from Zrenjanin received bags for waste separation which they will distribute among their school friends and will start separating waste at school, adding also new locations recycling islands from their town to Recycling Address book on Green initiative website.

Participating at the Eco Fair, Green initiative continues environmental campaign “Pazi djubre!” which affects awareness of the importance of recycling and primary selection, and offers solutions to citizens how they can recycle their waste.
