BREAKING NEWS:

During first activity of Get Planet wise! Recycle Campaign, held in Raska, within activities of Green initiative focused on stimulation of primary selection of waste on local and national level, it was collected more than 12 t of scarp paper, which was, with a support of  Public Utility Company Raska, shipped to a recycling facilities.

More than 2000 citizens participated in the activity of collecting scrap, which was organized by Eco club Green signs from Raska, a member of Green list of Serbia, and whose realization was provided by Balkan Community Initiatives Fund  (BCIF) in cooperation with Institute for sustainable communities (ISC) and Young researchers of Serbia, with a financial support of  American agency for international development (USAID).

Over past seven days citizens had an opportunity to dispose their scrap materials in several stations in town, and for the students of primary schools there was a competition organized in collecting scrap paper. More than 450 students from Primary school Raska and Primary school Sutjeska participated in the competition, and the winning classes gained an excursion trip as an award. The absolute champions in collecting scrap paper were students of 7 grade from Raska primary school, who collected 1.200 kg of scrap paper.

Besides the competition, students participated in environmental games and quizzes on recycling, and in front of Primary school Raska, an informal group Graffiti 036 made graffiti on recycling themes.
