More than a ton (1,300 kg) of used office paper that over the past two weeks separated by Balkan Community Initiatives, Center for modern skills, Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence, Young Researchers of Serbia, Institute for Sustainable Communities, Cultural Center of Belgrade and daily newspaper Press, was delivered yesterday to individual waste collectors and with the help of business partner with whom Green initiative has a successful cooperation Ekostar pak Ltd. and FHB Paper it is shipped to the recycling facilities.
Green initiative aims to bring together citizens, institutions and businesses in the recycling area to collect recyclable materials, with the primary aim of improving the selection and encourage recycling.
Apart from developing the habit of separation of waste at the place of its creation, this action affects the empowerment of network of individual collectors of secondary raw material in the waste management system.
pak Ltd. in Belgrade, Public Utility Company Pozarevac in Pozarevac and GM Optimist Association of Citizens in the Gornji Milanovac, over the next three months will form cooperatives for waste collectors. In addition, Green initiative will work on creation of financial requirements for the legalization of the collectors, through the allocation of funds through a public tender by the Fund for Environmental Protection of Serbia.
Mi kao potrosaci stvarno proizvodimo smece na taj nacin sto predmete koji su prevazisli svoje namene uklanjamo iz svoje najuze zivotne sredine. Iz tog se razloga kod nas obocnih potrosaca ne moze mnogo “promeniti svest”. Svest se treba promeniti kod nase Vlasti. Kreativnost, vestina i brzina nase Vlasti je da donese zakone kako bi svoje gradjane kaznjavala umesto da je ta ista Vlast, sastavljena od raznoraznih “strucnjaka i specijalista”, svojim gradjanima ponudila resenje za ovaj problem. Bar da se ugledaju na industijske zemlje; gde se od otpada dobija toplota pa cak i struja – primera radi, postrojenje za proizvodju elekticne energije u Amsterdamu. Decenijama slusamo bajke o boljem sutra a da nam niko, iz bilo koje Vlasti ili politicke partnije nije objasnio u kom obliku ce se to bolje sutra desiti. Zato bih molio da prestanu da rade za bolju sutrasnjicu vec da se probude i pocnu da resavaju probleme sadasnjice. Sadanjica je stvarnost a buducnost iluzija.
